The arts have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember.  Creativity drives passion.  This is a weekly look into the world of artists in music, art and dance and what they create.  Feed your imagination!

The Nicest Kids In Town | Hairspray

I saw an advertisement online for the UK Tour of Hairspray the musical and it reminded me of the movie.  I love the movie!! John Travolta plays a woman very well and it just has fun written all over it.  I want to jump into a time machine and go back to the 50’s/60’s.  People got all dressed up to cruise around town and head down to the diner or the drive-in.  So cool.  This routine is one of my favorites in the movie.  The vibe is super happy and you cannot help but bob your head and dance along to it- even while sitting down in your chair!  James Marsden is a true triple threat with those handsome looks to boot.  Sigh.  I feel like visiting the UK to see the musical.  European vacation here I come!

ghastlyGhastly | Fav track: Get On This

Instagram has a funny way of bringing people together.  Ghastly is David Crow based out of the great city of Los Angeles.  I checked out his SoundCloud and really dug the tracks.  I wouldn’t mind spending a fun night listening to the sounds of Ghastly.  The flow is nice and the vibes take you to another place.  Playing the tracks on SoundCloud as we speak.  Enjoying myself very much.

chanelleChanelle Nillson | Mandalas

Chanelle is a self-taught artist based out of Melbourne, Australia.  I absolutely fell in love with her mandalas on Instagram.  Beautiful pen work.  Geometric design and patterns are my favorite thing.  They are bold and so intricate in composition.  Pen work is nice because it can exhibit endless small details and shapes.  The possibilities are great to think about.
