Stephen “Twitch” Boss Solos | THIS is how you dance to Trap Music
I remember when Twitch stepped onto the stage on Fox’s competition show So You Think You Can Dance. He ended up being runner up but his journey on the show was fantastic to see. His moves were magical. The flow of movement is like a melody. He creates living art. This compilation of solos is great to watch. I found myself grinning through the whole thing and wanting to get up and dance. That is the mark of a true performer. They get you to feel their soul. He had his start on MTV’s show The Wade Robson Project and has found a lot of deserved success. Some credits include features in Step Up 3D, a dance movie I thoroughly enjoyed, Hairspray (John Travolta!) and Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming. He is enjoying his life with his wife, fellow dancer Allison Holker (who I featured in Next Time June 26th), making a name in the dance world, and serving as co-founder of CLI studios, whose programs and love of dance help a wide array of dancers with their found potential. Get up and move!
Purity Ring | Fav track: Begin Again
I discovered Purity Ring on Spotify Radio. I do not remember what station I was listening to… BUT finding this artist was a real gem! Their music is transcending and so so beautiful. It makes me happy. I play it at night when I am relaxing in my big, comfy bed. This very talented duo is comprised of Megan James who does the vocals and Corin Roddick who does the instrumentals. They hail from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My favorite album is another eternity. Play it from beginning to end. It is a flow and stream of melodic beauty. I really like when you can play a particular album from start to finish and enjoy all the songs. This reigns true with Purity Ring. Check them out.
I first met Marlon at an art show here in Los Angeles a few years ago. His artwork caught my wandering eye and I made a point to say hello and purchase one of his pieces. I absolutely love his marker work. The flowing lines look like petals in nature or intricate human muscle. It is all in the vein of perception. I am definitely going to purchase a few more works for my new place in West Hollywood. He is honestly one of my faves. Take a moment or two to check out what he is about. Super cool guy, talented artist. It is apparent he cares very much for his craft and it shows on canvas. Yay!
